Job Description

Mission:

  • To implement financial programs and processes of MTN Irancell concerning primary financial statements and tax obligations following accounting standards of Iran and in conformity with financial and tax legal requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • To liaise with finance departments to match the time of recording and reporting of financial information with legal tax and financial schedules as well with timetables approved by the Board of Directors, and to present the documents required by the tax assessors to ensure their adequacy and accuracy.
  • To organize finance departments and auditor and the legal inspector regarding the schedule for preparing the audit and financial statements.
    To coordinate with related divisions and departments to ease ambiguities in the audit process.
  • To manage activities related to preparing financial statements, management letters, and reports of the Board of Directors' activities based on accounting standards and schedule.
  • To manage activities related to tax obligations of the company in all areas in due observance of the laws, regulations, tax circulars, and legal schedules.
  • To manage activities related to drawing up legal books in due observance of relevant regulations and the requirements on users of electronic financial systems.
  • To manage all activities related to VAT law and article 169 in the Direct Taxation Act including submitting the VAT return, seasonal reports, and ext. 
  • To ensure compliance of MTN Irancell contracts with tax regulations.
  • To manage and follow up activities related to the "Management Letters" and resolve problems and notes referred to.
  • To liaise with Treasury for timely receiving payment tax information, with NWG Finance for resolving the landlords of BTS locations tax issues, and with Finance Reporting to coordinate documents monthly recording based on legal schedules and attend the monthly meetings for reviewing the accounts to detect the monthly changes.
  • To draft the statements for company complaints about the tax issues, follow up on company complaints about income tax assessment, and finalize tax at all levels.
  • To ensure the observance of taxation rules and regulations including the Direct Taxation Act, the Value Added Tax Law, the Law on Store Terminals, and all Tax Circular. Ensure the compliance of tax returns with the financial information of the Company
  • To manage timely payment of the applicable taxes.
  • To manage the observance of schedules in correspondences and accurately respond to tax inquiries.
  • To ensure the documents related to WHT to Company are collected and applied in the tax payments.
  • To ensure the payment receipts of the deducted taxes are collected, recorded, and delivered promptly.
  • To ensure the audit confirmations including the bank accounts creditors and debtors are timely collected.


Education: 

  • B.Sc. in Accounting.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in an area of specialization; with experience in supervising/managing others
  • Experience working in a medium to large organization
