National TX OSS Planning Engineer (Vendor)

Roles & Responsibilities:

To prepare LLD and HLD with vendors for new OSS nodes.
To maintain the CP load, memory usage and license utilization within acceptable thresholds when migrating sites among OSS and/or planning more OSS capacity.
To support in dimensioning of new OSS through CR Sec A process.
To recommend design changes based on daily/weekly health check report.
To control the measurement activation and ensure all key measurements are available all the time for Transmission.
To plan and Integrate MW OSS with 3rd party tools such as FACTs/MAPS, NMOS, etc.
To support in user activation and management on MW OSS systems.
To prepare report and provide supporting data for penalizing users with unauthorized activity on OSS/MW links.
To prepare report and follow unauthorized activity/access on OSS/TX nodes.
To participate in weekly meeting actively with MS/Care and Project teams following plans and issue on OSSs.
To perform ATP for new OSS integration and major upgrades with vendors and support teams.
To follow up with CPG, QA, and power teams to assign yearly floor/power plans for OSS nodes.
To track activation of OSS features and ensure supporting features for MW parts are enabled.
To track OSS roadmap and highlight solution that can help achieve the maximum yet best utilization of hardware/software purchased from vendors.
To update IPBB topology, HLD and LLD for all OSS nodes and review it monthly in collaboration with related teams.
To give recommendations for load balancing and NE migration of different nodes on OSS.
To verify system performance and BoQ (Bill of Quantity) for technical SOAC, PAC, and FAC of new OSS nodes.
To review missing measurements in MW OSS and inactive counters in new releases to ensure all important counters are available on OSS.
To provide automation by any scripting languages on MW OSSs to generate any needed reports or checking missing and maintain system.
 

Job Requirements:

BSc in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management / Information Technology) or related
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in an area of specialization; with 2 years’ experience in MW TX or telecommunications.
Experience working in a medium organization
