Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:
To support the development of an automated and effective environment for the performance of company SMC duties.
To supervise network live traffic, monitor effectively and promptly to react to all network-related faults. This includes the actioning of all alarms and trouble tickets and adherence to procedures.
To ensure that the fixed line provider transmission related faults of TIC/MCI//RIC/Provincial Operators’ procedures are closely followed and tracked in Trouble Ticketing System.
To isolate Enterprise Business Division customers issues included but not limited to APNs/WVPNs and follow up with relevant teams and following up till resolution.
To follow up CRA and/or any regulator related issues (e.g:195 issues) end to end.
To follow up to ensure all trouble tickets are updated and attended to by Vendors.
To escalate serious and long outstanding faults to SMC Manager.
To identify Network faults/failures and ensure that relevant Vendor performs the relevant Escalation /Information /Restoration.
To act as an interface to Customer Relations regarding customer TTs and assist them with subscriber problems.
To act as an interface and provide company SMC refs to Contractors and other departments for change requests and access to sites and switches.
To perform company SMC duties as instructed by SMC Manager, e.g., correlation of transmission outages, adjustment of availability parameters, follow-up and clearing of specific network faults.
To ensure that all required reporting is done and is presented to SMC Manager on the agreed timeline.
To act according to WLA (working level agreements) with Vendors NOC and other 3rd Parties.
To log information in Trouble Ticketing System, ensure accuracy of records with regular updates for SLA and reconciliation purposes.
To ensure all vendor reports (NOC) are received and saved on the relevant company network drive folders.
To compile and ensure all weekly, monthly reports are available on time and presentable for SMC Manager Presentation.
To ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to during the shift.
To follow the FTTX procedure, update them, and report to management.
 
Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years of technical experience in thetelecom industry; with experience in supervising others
Experience working in a medium organization
B.Sc. degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication /Electrical / Commuter / Information Technology) or related
Fluent in English
