We are hiring an experienced and detail-oriented General Accounting Manager with strong knowledge of Iranian accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting practices. The ideal candidate must demonstrate leadership capabilities, technical expertise in financial accounting, and the ability to ensure compliance with local laws and standards (incl. Iranian Commercial Code, Direct Taxation Act, and Social Security regulations).
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of monthly consolidated financial statements in compliance with Iranian Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS-based where applicable)
- Monthly closing of general and subsidiary ledgers (Specific and detailed balance), ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reconciled
- Monthly review, reconciliation, and finalization of account balances, including intercompany accounts within the group
- Preparation of monthly intercompany reconciliation reports in accordance with group policies
- Compilation and submission of monthly Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, and Cash Flow Statement
- Review and validation of monthly insurance and tax risk reports prepared by the respective units
- Daily supervision and control of accounting entries and documents registered by junior accountants
- Weekly review of trial balances and ensuring alignment with ledger entries
- Oversight and compliance review of commercial and service contracts, ensuring alignment with tax and accounting implications
- Coordination with external auditors and tax authorities, as required
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Minimum 7 years of experience in accounting, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
- Full proficiency in Iranian tax laws, value-added tax (VAT) procedures, labor law, social security regulations, and statutory financial reporting
- Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Rahkaran, Pardazeshgaran, or other ERP systems)
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail, accountability, and ethical commitment
- Team-oriented with a systematic approach and passion for process improvement and staff development
