Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled SEO Specialist with expertise in managing an external content marketing team to drive high-quality content creation and optimize our online presence. The ideal candidate will combine advanced SEO strategies with strong leadership and coordination skills to ensure content aligns with our brand and business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
SEO Strategy Development: Develop and implement comprehensive SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings, drive traffic, and increase conversions.
Keyword Research & Optimization: Conduct in-depth keyword research, analyze trends, and optimize on-page elements (meta tags, headers, content, etc.) to enhance search visibility.
Content Strategy & Management: Collaborate with and manage an external content marketing team to produce high-quality, SEO-optimized content, including blog posts, articles, and other digital assets.
Team Coordination: Oversee the external content team’s workflows, set clear deliverables, timelines, and quality standards, and ensure content aligns with SEO objectives and brand voice.
Performance Analysis: Monitor and report on SEO performance metrics (e.g., organic traffic, bounce rates, keyword rankings) using tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs.
Technical SEO: Identify and resolve technical SEO issues, such as site speed, mobile optimization, and crawlability, in collaboration with web developers.
Content Quality Control: Review and provide feedback on content produced by the external team to ensure it meets SEO best practices and engages the target audience.
Stay Updated: Keep abreast of SEO trends, algorithm updates, and content marketing best practices to maintain a competitive edge.

Required Skills & Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in SEO, with a proven track record of improving organic search performance.
Content Management: 1-2 years of experience managing content creation teams, preferably external or remote teams, with a focus on delivering SEO-optimized content.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in SEO tools (e.g., Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog) and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio).
Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage external teams and collaborate with internal stakeholders.
Project Management: Strong organizational skills to oversee content production schedules, deadlines, and quality assurance.
Knowledge: Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, as well as content marketing strategies.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing SEO algorithms and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience with WordPress
Experience with link-building strategies and outreach
Experience with HTML/CSS for on-page SEO optimization
Experience with AI-powered SEO tools (Surfer SEO, MarketMuse, Clearscope)
Proficiency in AI content optimization platforms
Familiarity with ChatGPT/Claude for content ideation and optimization
Experience using AI for keyword clustering and content gap analysis
Understanding of AI content detection and optimization balance
Knowledge of Python/AI scripts for SEO data analysis
