R&D Specialist

1.   UNDERSTANDING CATEGORY

• Understanding the competitive environment
• Follow, inspect and evaluate new technologies and competitors on market   

2.    PACKAGING SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT/ MANAGEMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN SUPPORT

• Evaluate packaging material specifications
• Create and maintain Bill of Materials
• Ensure and agree with S/Chain that specifications are reproducible and robust at feasibility stage
• Manage issuing of specs to suppliers and customers
• Support in Feasibility Trials 
• Help resolve:  SC manufacturing issues, quality problems, supplier specific issues
• Coordinate sourcing and ordering materials for feasibility trials 
• Report writing (eg. Feasibility trials, lab trials, saving projects etc)

3.    PRODUCT SPECIFICATION DEVELOPMENT/ MANAGEMENT & SUPPLY CHAIN SUPPORT

• Deploy new formulation & process technologies for Projects related to consumer/business benefits
• Raw materials characterization and measurement
• Deliver understanding of process effects on product performance
• Understand chemical materials and their interactions.
• Examine MSDS and specifications of the raw materials used. Inform team members about the possible hazards and train the technicians, actively support PHA studies.
• Manage specifications by ensuring that all raw materials, formulations and any changes are accurately captured into Interspace/Local Specs
• Analytical method validation and implementation  
• Ensure regulatory requirements are met for each operating company (e.g. SEAC, ingredients   listing, import/export requirements, country standards)
• Support formulation development by working collaboratively with Regional R&D Teams
• Support Feasibility & Capability Trials in Factory& 3Ps
• Help resolve: SC manufacturing issues, quality problems, supplier specific issues

Job Requirement:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Engineering related fields.
• Proficiency in Laboratory and Project Management Skills.
• At least 2 years of experience in research and Development.
• Fluency in English.
