Packet Core Optimization Manager

Mission
·       To optimize the PS core network such that the best customer data experience in the market is assured.

·       To maximize TVO/TCO by offering CAPEX/OPEX saving optimizations in the Packet core Optimization team. 

·       To contribute to harmonization between PS core planning and optimization to enhance further qualitative outcomes from the planning department.
Roles & Responsibilities
·       To manage end-to-end PS-Core Network optimization and parameter tuning activities to ensure consistency and quality across the data network. 

·       To ensure PS core network performance is optimized and has enough capacity to achieve both CAPEX and OPEX financial targets.

·       To perform traffic forecasting of PS core network services and provide requirements for Expansion and Optimization

·       To conduct proactive and reactive audits and optimization for the entire Packet Switch Core network domain to ensure quality across the DATA network.

·       To review PS-Core Virtualized Network Functions (VNF) deployment over (Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) platform and conduct optimizations for Infrastructure resource efficiency enhancement.

·       To provide weekly and monthly performance measurement and analysis reports to improve Network quality and user experience.

·       To actively participate in PS-core network planning processes and existing plan retuning for ensuring the efficiency of PS-core network design 

·       To manage achieving PS-core network quality ratio and KPIs directly related to customer loyalty and qualitative perception of MTNIrancell DATA network to improve the customer experience.

·       To review, propose, and tune the current PS-core network planning design and perform an investigation for preventing network design faults  

·       To study next-generation technology (5G, 6G, etc.) and prepare the team for a well-organized optimization program during and after service launch.  

·       To address PS network bottlenecks and discover related solutions for improving data user experience. 

·       To manage vendors in light of detecting any fallacy which could adversely affect long-term or short-terms goals of MTNIrancell on technical and commercial dimensions within the PS-core area. it shall happen through detecting any revenue/customer experience impacting problems and getting vendors to sort them out by offering optimization solutions. 

·       To design and optimize PS-core NW for interconnections with other systems (Charging system, VAS, RAN, etc.).

·       To optimize PS service quality by using TCP optimization (TO) and Video Optimization (VO) tools and tuning parameters.

·       To manage the PS-core optimization team to follow up on the root cause of the core network problems and sort them out will help to utilize the resources more cost-effectively and address the issues at the route level.

·       To manage internal engineers and vendor teams for MTNIrancell benefits as an ‘end in mind.’

·       To enhance team capability for optimization and mentor for planning and optimization on conceptual and technical skills.

·       To initiate the use of AI/ML to predict network congestions and fault discovery, and mitigation solutions.
Education
·       Bachelor's degree in Technology Systems (Telecommunication Management / Information Technology) or related
 

Experience
·       Minimum of 5 years experience in core networks optimization, Planning and operations; with experience in supervising/managing others

·       Experience working in a medium to large organization

·       Experienced in E2E wireless core network Architecture

·       Experienced in IP Routing Protocols

·       Experienced in PS, and EPC Optimization

·       Enough knowledge of EPC, 5G NSA, NFV, SDN and Containerization.
