• To facilitate the weekly Change Advisory Board (CAB) meetings to evaluate, prioritize, and approve proposed changes.
• To follow progress of changes to ensure changes are done properly and within the approved change window.
• To oversee the entire change lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to process and quality standards.
• To design, enhance, and enforce change management procedures for approval, verification, and scheduling; maintain process documentation and escalate process breaches or unauthorized changes to appropriate governance bodies.
• To perform impact assessments for proposed changes, evaluate organizational readiness, and identify key stakeholders for engagement and communication
• To develop implementation plans for dealing with complex requests for change or for the introduction of new services, evaluate risks to integrity of infrastructure inherent in proposed implementations and review the effectiveness of change implementation.
• To perform business analysis to identify alternative solutions, recommend optimized approaches, and define requirements for the implementation of changes in business processes.
• To generate and analyze change-related statistics for trend monitoring and reporting, and to coordinate with other ITS Service Management functions such as Configuration Management, Incident and Problem Management, Service Desk, and Disaster Recovery.
• To define and manage the scope of change management activities, plan and priorities changes in coordination with relevant stakeholders.
• To analyze the root causes of unplanned and unnecessary emergency changes and implement measures to reduce their frequency and impact on service availability.
• To control and evaluate ITS Vendors/Partner’s performance in change management scope.
• To maintain accurate and up-to-date change records throughout the change lifecycle, and produce periodic change management performance reports.
• To apply standards and other quality criteria for the documentation of change.
• To ensure that the Configuration Management Analyst receives documentation regarding changes to enable configuration database to be current.
• To instruct and advise the personnel responsible for change management activities.
• To align change plans with CI/CD pipelines and Agile sprints.
• To run Post-Implementation Reviews (PIRs) for failed/high-risk changes.
• To track and analyze key metrics like Change Success Rate, Lead Time, Failure Impact.
• To ensure alignment between change management and release/deployment management processes to streamline service delivery.
• To continuously review and improve the change management process based on feedback, audits, and performance metrics.
