- Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate the monthly and year-end closing processes, ensuring completeness, timeliness, and accuracy of general ledger transactions
Review and approve account reconciliations including general ledger, bank accounts, intercompany balances, and payroll accounts
Oversee payroll processing: ensure accurate calculation, timely payment, and full compliance with tax and SSO obligations
Monitor daily treasury activities including bank transactions, cash management, and preparation of daily cash flow reports
Review and control accounting documentation including invoices, vouchers, bank statements, and petty cash reports
Ensure timely and accurate preparation and submission of statutory tax returns, including VAT, seasonal affairs, and corporate tax filings
Assist in planning and managing external audits by coordinating required documentation and supporting audit processes
Provide insightful financial reports and analysis to the Finance Manager and other stakeholders
Ensure compliance with financial policies and internal controls, proposing improvements where necessary
Guide and support junior accounting staff, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and teamwork
Liaise with banks, auditors, and external regulatory bodies as required
- Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
Strong knowledge of Iranian Tax Laws, Social Security Organization (SSO) regulations, and Value Added Tax (VAT)
Proven experience in payroll, tax return preparation, and year-end closing
Advanced Excel skills and experience in data analysis/reporting
Excellent organizational and communication skills
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
