Job Description

As the HR Business Partner (Tech & Product), you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and teams across our Technology and Product organizations. You will work closely with Engineering, Product Management, and Design leaders to align people strategies with business goals, drive organizational effectiveness, and foster a culture of performance, growth, and innovation.

This role is both strategic and hands-on — ideal for someone who thrives on solving complex people challenges, building high-performing teams, and enabling leaders to scale effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with senior Tech and Product leaders to understand their goals and translate business priorities into actionable people strategies.
  • Support organizational design and workforce planning to ensure the right structure, roles, and capabilities are in place.
  • Advise on leadership effectiveness, team health, and change management initiatives.
  • Lead the performance management cycle for Tech and Product teams, including goal setting, feedback, calibration, and development planning.
  • Identify top talent and successors; partner with L&D to design development pathways for engineers, product managers, and designers.
  • Coach managers on effective feedback, performance conversations, and employee engagement.
  • Drive engagement initiatives specific to Tech and Product communities (e.g., hack weeks, team retros, recognition programs).
  • Analyze engagement data and propose actionable insights to improve team morale and retention.
  • Foster a culture of inclusion, learning, and psychological safety.
  • Partner with C&B and People Analytics teams to ensure competitive and fair compensation practices across technical roles.
  • Use data to inform decisions on attrition, headcount planning, and skill gaps.
  • Support annual compensation reviews, promotions, and leveling processes for technical teams.
  • Support reorganizations, leadership transitions, and scaling initiatives with clear communication and change management plans.
  • Partner with the Talent Acquisition team to align hiring priorities with workforce plans and future capability needs.
  • Champion continuous improvement in how the Tech and Product orgs work and collaborate.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including at least 2+ years partnering directly with Tech or Product teams.
  • Proven ability to influence and build relationships with senior leaders.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using people data to drive decisions.
  • Experience in fast-paced, high-growth environments (tech/startup experience highly preferred).
