Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies that align with organizational objectives.
- Coordinate the procurement process from requisition to purchase order, ensuring timely delivery of products and services.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their offerings.
- Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and inventory levels.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand their procurement needs and provide appropriate solutions.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage relationships to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
- Assist in the preparation of procurement reports for management review.
Requirment:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in procurement or supply chain roles.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess vendor capabilities and pricing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
- Experience with ERP systems
- Certification in procurement or supply chain management (e.g., APICS, CIPS).
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools for tracking and reporting.
- Understanding of supply chain principles and practices.
- Familiarity with contract management software.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and a results-oriented mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to foster relationships with internal teams and external suppliers.
