Asset & Configuration Management Supervisor

We are looking for a competent and qualified Asset & Configuration Management Supervisor to oversee and maintain the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of our IT Asset and Configuration Management processes, as defined by ITIL v3. The candidate will ensure that hardware, software, services, and configuration items (CIs) are properly identified, recorded, controlled, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.

 Responsibilities 
-Oversee and administer the end-to-end ITIL v3 Asset & Configuration Management process to ensure accurate identification, documentation, and control of IT assets and configuration items (CIs).
-Maintain and improve the Configuration Management Database (CMDB), ensuring correctness, updates, consistency, and compliance with established standards.
-Coordinate with technical teams to ensure configuration items and asset records are properly created, updated, and retired according to lifecycle procedures.
-Monitor CI relationships and dependencies, ensuring they reflect actual infrastructure and support impact analysis for Change, Incident, and Problem Management.
-Lead and conduct Configuration Audits, reconciliation, and verification activities to ensure data accuracy and integrity across discovery tools, inventories, and CMDB records.
-Escalate unresolved data integrity issues to the appropriate technical support groups and track them to completion.
-Ensure that CI updates related to changes, deployments, and operational activities are implemented following defined processes.
-Educate and guide stakeholders through asset and configuration policies, standards, and proper CI update procedures.
-Prioritize data quality and process compliance, performing follow-ups to ensure corrective actions are completed.
-Log, track, and document process deviations, issues, and resolutions within the Asset & Configuration Management records.
-Provide accurate and timely reports on asset and CI status, trends, compliance metrics, and audit findings.
-Represent the IT Department with professionalism and integrity while helping to advance the department’s mission and service management maturity.
-Identify, propose, and implement process improvements based on audit results, operational needs, and best practices.
-Attend training sessions to stay current with ITIL, CMDB technologies, discovery tools, and asset management best practices.
-Business travel may be required to perform on-site asset verification or configuration audit activities from time to time.

Knowledge
-BSc/BA in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a relevant field.
-Comprehensive understanding of ITIL v3 Service Asset & Configuration Management principles, processes, and lifecycle.
-Experience with CMDB systems, asset repositories, discovery tools, and configuration management technologies.
-Proficiency in hardware and software asset tracking methodologies, CI classification, and relationship modeling.
-Proven experience (at least two years) working in Asset Management, Configuration Management, or related IT Service Management roles.
-ITIL v3 Foundation certification or equivalent knowledge is highly beneficial.
-Familiarity with major operating systems, infrastructure components, and enterprise IT environments.
