CCTV Monitoring Operator

Over View:

The Security Monitoring Operator is responsible for continuously monitoring CCTV and surveillance systems to ensure the safety, security, and operational compliance of the organization's facilities. This role focuses on identifying and reporting security incidents, operational deviations, and suspicious activities through real-time monitoring and video review. The position also supports incident response by maintaining accurate documentation, safeguarding surveillance data, ensuring the proper functioning of monitoring equipment, and collaborating with Security, Operations, and IT teams to maintain a secure and efficient working environment.

 Responsibilities:

• Continuously monitor CCTV camera feeds and oversee the overall security status of the facility.
• Monitor the proper execution of operational processes, procedures, and personnel performance through surveillance systems.
• Identify, document, and report any discrepancies, violations, incidents, or suspicious activities to the relevant supervisor.
• Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and incident-based reports on surveillance activities and system status.
• Regularly inspect the operational status of surveillance equipment, including cameras, NVR/DVR systems, monitors, and related devices, and report any malfunctions.
• Cooperate with the Security, Operations, Information Technology (IT), and other relevant departments during incidents and emergencies.
• Review recorded surveillance footage and retrieve video evidence in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of organizational information and ensure the protection of surveillance data.
• Perform any other duties assigned within the scope of the position.

 Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum one year of relevant experience in CCTV monitoring and surveillance system operations.
• Familiarity with CCTV software and surveillance systems (IVMS).
• Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, IP Addressing, and PoE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word and Excel, for reporting purposes.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills with the ability to accurately record incidents.
• High level of attention to detail, concentration, and observation skills.
• Strong decision-making abilities and the capability to respond effectively during emergencies and critical situations.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including night shifts.
