Senior Data Analyst - Commercial

Responsibilities:

• Dashboard Development (BI): Design, develop, and maintain dashboards using Power BI, Metabase, Tableau, or similar tools. Ensure usability, clarity, and alignment with Commercial reporting needs.
• Data Integration & Connectivity: Extract, integrate, and validate data from Excel, Google Sheets, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other data warehouses. Maintain reliable connections, refresh schedules, and access patterns.
• Data Modeling & Performance Optimization: Build and optimize data models in BI tools and SQL Server, including views, marts, and semantic layers. Improve query performance and dashboard responsiveness through indexing, aggregations, and optimized transformations, in coordination with technical teams when needed.
• Reporting & Insights Delivery: Deliver strategic, tactical, and operational reports for different stakeholder groups. Define and standardize KPIs, reporting logic, and business rules to maintain a single source of truth.
• Operational Stability: Monitor refresh failures, data pipeline issues, and database connectivity. Coordinate with Tech/ICT on maintenance, user access, backup/restore readiness, and performance issues. Own business impact assessment and prioritization.
• Stakeholder Collaboration & Requirements Management: Work with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into dashboards and reports. Manage feedback, iterations, requirements, data definitions, and change requests.
• Continuous Improvement & Governance: Improve dashboards and visualization standards based on business needs. Establish best practices for data quality, versioning, documentation, and access governance with Tech/ICT.
• Optional – ETL & Automation: Use Python and SQL Server scripting (SQL/T-SQL) for lightweight ETL, automation, and data manipulation when required. Ensure processes are maintainable and documented.
• Training & Support: Train and support users on BI tools, KPI interpretation, and reporting best practices. Create user guides and enable self-service analytics where appropriate.

Requirements:

• Proven experience with Power BI, including DAX and M language.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Metabase, Tableau, or similar BI tools.
• Strong understanding of data modeling and ETL processes.
• Experience with SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and other database systems.
• Proficiency in SQL scripting for complex data manipulation.
• Initial experience in Python scripting.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Familiarity with commercial business processes and key performance metrics.
